You Can't Put a Price on Friendship

TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS FOREVER

This past week, my family and I had the distinct pleasure of hosting our lovely friend, Hannah Michelle.
We have known Hannah for about a year and a half now, and first met at a Homeschool Alumni Get Together in January of 2010...Or so we thought.

Turns out I had known Hannah since 2007. We had met online through the Joshua Bell Fan Forums after we had both attended his birthday concert in December of 2007. Having never really kept up with each other, the connection wasn't made until Hannah saw a picture from the concert on my bedroom wall.

SMALL WORLD EH?!

When Hannah arrived at our house Monday,
we wasted not time in getting down to some girlieness!

.

The finished product!!
Isn't it cute?

Tuesday afternoon found us at the library,
where Christina and Hannah found none other then
hand puppets. Meant for the children no doubt, but
I had to join in the fun too!

After the library, we were on our way to a local
Mexican restaurant "Toreros"

After dinner, we called up another friend and went bowling!

Wednesday we made a trip out to a local pottery store
It was our first time and boy was it a pleasant surprise.

Inside we found a display that just begged for a picture of us in it!!

We discovered these little birdcages,
which we all agreed seemed rather whimsical

We just loved this tin decoration.

There were so many more cute things up there.
Including this little piggy!

Lunch found us at the historical Riverside Inn,
where Hannah quickly located mirror for us to take a picture in.

Lunch was served in the "Concord Dining Room"

Hannah had Tomato Bruschetta

Christina had Crab Cake and Sweet Potato Fries

I had a Haddock Sandwich with Onion Rings

And Mom had a grilled Chicken Salad

We couldn't resist the bigger mirror!

After lunch, we explored the Inn.
Me checking out one of the cute rooms.

Christina, trying out the chairs.

We just had to get a picture on the Inn's lovely porch furniture,
even though it was raining.

Hannah fell in love with my little Zatara
and just had to snap a few photos of him.

Just can't resist those little brown eyes!!

Thursday came with an air of sadness as
Hannah had to leave us early that afternoon.
But the departure took with it the many wonderful new memories
we made together that will be shared for years to come.

As Hannah had brought us a gift at her arrival,
we couldn't help but give her a parting gift.

WE MISS YOU HANNAH!!
COME AGAIN SOON!!

Everybody Wants To Be A Cat...

Especially, when the cat is...toilet trained?

THAT'S RIGHT!!
I'm toilet training my kitten!!

This is my darling 4 month old "baby", Zatara

He's named after Edmund Dantes from "The Count of Monte Cristo"
The name means "Driftwood".

Isn't he precious?!

And such a contended little boy!

Zatara with his best friend (Besides me),
my sister's cat, Inigo, (Yes as in Montoya from "The Princess Bride")

So why am I toilet training?

Litter is such a mess!! And gets rather expensive.
Plus! After I get married this June, I'll be living in an appartment,
and who wants a litter box stinking up the place?

So I bought the "Litter Kwitter",

and got busy training!

The different colored rings, represent the different stages of training.
Each stage will take 1-2 weeks depending on the kitty.

Stage 1, the "Red Stage" works just like a litter box.
For one week, it will stay on the floor beside the toilet.

On the second week, the toilet bowl shaped litter box
will be placed on top of the toilet bowl rim.

"Zat-Cat" uses the new box for the first time.

Inigo wonders what's up?!

So I was a little late in putting this up.
Tomorrow, Monday, will mark the first full week of toilet training
and we will see how it goes with the littler atop the commode!
Pray all goes well!!
Poor Inigo is so big (he weighs nearly 17 pounds), he can barely fit on the thing!

WATCH FOR UPDATES!!

Fair is the lily of the valley
Clear is the water that flows from the Boyne
But my love is fairer than any."
